Gene is a Director in the Tax Group and the Special Services Group and is responsible for the tax research, planning and compliance segments of the Firm, with a primary focus on medium-sized companies and not-for-profit organizations. He specializes in individual, partnership, corporate, estate and trust tax planning and return preparation. He also works in the areas of business valuation, estate and gift planning, and marital dissolution.
Gene is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants – Tax and Consulting Practice Section and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. He is currently a board member and past Treasurer of the Southwest Michigan Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He is also a past Director of Pinedale Ambulance, Family and Children Services, and past Treasurer and Director of the Kalamazoo Air Show.
Gene received his Bachelor’s degree from Michigan Technological University and his Masters in Accountancy from Western Michigan University.
